Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny arrives in Moscow

(17 Jan 2021) Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny and his wife Yulia arrived at Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport on Sunday.
They were flanked by media on a bus which took them from the aircraft to the terminal building.
The flight had landed at a different airport than had been scheduled, a possible attempt to outwit journalists and supporters who wanted to witness Navalny's return.
He flew to Russia from Berlin after his recovery in Germany from his poisoning by a nerve agent in August.
He had announced on Wednesday that he would return despite authorities' threats to put him behind bars again.
On Thursday, Russia's prison service said that he faces immediate arrest once he returns.
