This tribute marks the 42nd consecutive year DeKalb county has hosted an event honoring the life and legacy of Dr. King.
DeKalb County CEO Lorraine Cochran-Johnson hosted the program alongside civil rights leader, Andrew Young, delivering a meaningful celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy of service, justice, and leadership.
During the program, with this year’s them, “Restoring Justice. Reclaiming the Dream,” CEO Cochran-Johnson recognized two local public servants for their humanitarian contributions. Justice Leah Ward Sears and Rabbi Zev-Hayyim Feyer were honored with the Nathaniel Mosby Humanitarian Award, acknowledging their tireless community service and dedication to positive change.
Rev. Dr. Byron Thomas of Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church delivered the Invocation and Lori Wilson, WSB-TV Anchor, served as Master of Ceremonies.
