天草は天草諸島と呼ばれるように、大小120余の島々からなる地域です。九州本土とは「天草五橋」と呼ばれる５つの橋で結ばれているが、この5つの橋を走るルートが今回紹介する国道266号上にある天草パールラインです。
Amakusa, known as the Amakusa Islands, is a region made up of over 120 islands of various sizes. It is connected to the Kyushu mainland by five bridges known as the "Amakusa Five Bridges," and the Amakusa Pearl Line, which runs along National Route 266, is the route that crosses these five bridges.
