The Laughter Code
People can laugh wildly—and keep laughing—while in hypnotic trance. But it doesn’t stop there. They can shift from laughter to tears almost instantly.
Could hypnotic laughter help solve the depotentiation problem—our difficulty in releasing dark or negative emotional states?
Mini Doc - 16 minutes - Elevator Entertainment and DMT Quest, presents...
In this talk, filmed at HypnoThoughts Live, the world’s largest hypnosis conference, hypnotist and filmmaker Albert Nerenberg demonstrates the remarkable potential of hypnotic laughter.
Volunteers reach intense states of euphoric laughter in seconds—and just as easily, they can stop. Some move fluidly from laughter to crying and back again, creating a pathway to positive states through rapidly experienced challenges.
The Laughter Code points to a possible mechanism for facilitating rapid emotional regulation and processing. Could hypnotic laughter become a clinical tool for accelerating emotional catharsis and resolution?
