Disassembly of the Robland X-31 Jointer for installation of a Shelix head.
I probable should of showed it in the video but to take off the dust chute before removing the shaft assembly all you need to do is back off on the set screw and jam nut located on the outboard bearing cap in line the dust chute pivot shaft. Once you back off on the set screw the you can push the chute to the side and pivot the chute out.
It should be noted that many have had luck sliding the drive pulley off after removing the roll pin so the table top did not have to be removed. unfortunately the pulley on my machine was corroded on to the shaft and had to be removed with a pulley remover so I need the room.
