Starting over isn’t always easy but it was necessary!
In hindsight, I should have shaved my head when I first noticed the damage but I honestly didn’t realize just how bad it was!
What’s funny is, now that I look back at pics and video, it’s very clear there was no saving it.
Was I able to make it feel & look better? Yes, absolutely! So much that I was almost even fooled into thinking I was 90% healed from it.
Even though it’s been a tough part of my natural hair journey, I’m thankful for it. Because it’s allowed me to see not only my hair but that of others very clearly.
Now I know what to look for, and what the starting point of healing looks like. Just know it’s not an easy process to go through. ❤️🩹
