The CIA exam pass rate was only 39% in 2015. To increase your chance of passing success, you need a CIA review course that fits your learning style, background and budget. In this video, I introduce the three most popular courses, namely Gleim CIA, IIA Learning System and Hock CIA.

Gleim is the most widely used CIA review course and has been around the longest time. Gleim has been developing study materials for various accounting professional exams for decades, covering not only Certified Internal Auditor exam, but also CPA, CMA and EA. Because of this, Gleim is able to offer students toughest questions that are marginally beyond the cope of CIA, so students get to learn how to think on their feet and be more alert when seeing new questions in the actual exam.

IIA Learning System is the official study materials, and the book is well written with details on many specific areas. This is useful especially in Part 3 when the syllabus goes beyond the knowledge of a typical internal auditor.

Hock is quite popular among international candidates, and the pricing is slightly lower than Gleim and IIA Learning System.
