A broken bike in winter — I had to ride back fast

Описание: A winter enduro ride turned urgent when my 12-year-old son broke his gear shifter, leaving us temporarily stranded in muddy, icy conditions. With recent bear sightings in the area, I rode back fast to get a spare and finish the trail.

For this ride, we followed a track along the edge of the forest, facing true winter conditions: soft and frozen mud, ice, frost, and light snow. The trail proved challenging, and deep in the forest my son dropped his bike, breaking his brand-new folding gear shifter and leaving us temporarily stranded.

While he waited safely with the bear spray, I rode back on the asphalt to our village to get a spare shifter. Soon enough, we were riding again and completed the trail successfully.

As we exited the forest near Kribul, we were rewarded with a stunning winter view of the Pirin and Ali Botush mountains, fully covered in snow.
