(John 12:3)
In seasons that feel long, heavy, and filled with waiting, Jesus is still worth our time. He is worthy of us sitting at His feet and pouring out everything we have before Him. He is worth the wait. He is worthy of all our praise, all our affection, and all our time simply gazing upon Him.
When we choose to sit with Him — surrendering our thoughts, our questions, our disappointments, and our hopes — it releases a beautiful fragrance before Him. Just as Mary recognized His worth and poured out something costly at His feet, we too are invited to offer what is costly: our attention, our trust, and our wholehearted surrender in the unknown seasons of life.
In the hidden places, in the stillness, in the waiting — when we choose to fix our eyes on Him — we are reminded that He is the One who has been waiting the longest. He is longing for a unified Bride, ready and watching for His return.
So let us not waste our time on what fades or what ultimately does not matter. Instead, let us focus on the King of Glory — the One who gave up everything to have us.
