Every Monday morning, it’s time for another edition of The BS Show with Bob Sansevere, and that means another of our weekly “3 And Out” segments, covering three stories which Bob lets me pick to discuss.
During college football season, our 3 And Out segments focus on Minnesota’s two D-1 programs (Gophers and Tommies) and the best non D-1 program, the St. John’s Johnnies.
This past weekend, the Gophers suffered another heavy loss to a ranked opponent. This time, it was Oregon, but hey, the Gophs are already “bowl eligible”! Meanwhile, the Tommies entered Saturday’s game with Presbyterian with a shot at the Pioneer League title (and a birth in the FCS Playoffs). Instead they fell short, and will close out their season in Fargo next weekend against the gold standard of FCS teams; namely, the North Dakota State University Bison. The Johnnies closed out their regular season with a big win over St. Olaf on Saturday, and on Sunday found out that they earned an at-large birth in the D3 Football playoffs.
