An in-depth look at how I use interchangeable spindle whorls to control my spinning.
A couple extra notes that I couldn’t cover in the video:
1) When I change out whorls depends on the weight of yarn. The thicker the ultimate yarn, the lighter I need my spindle + whorl to be, so I’ll change out sooner. Thinner yarn means less changing out.
2) What’s my threshold for “spindle is full”? When it gets annoying or the yarn keeps snapping on me. Spinning is an art, not a science.
