Mt. Baker stands 3,286 m (10,781 ft) tall over the state of Washington, fifth highest in the Cascade range. After Mount Rainier, Mount Baker is the most heavily glaciated of the Cascade Range volcanoes; greater than that of all the other Cascades volcanoes (except Rainier) combined. It is also one of the snowiest places in the world.
For years we have attempted to plan a successful trip to conquer the summit, but we are consistently shut out by unfavourable weather forecasts or unforeseen circumstances. This year, in early June, two members of Team Yeti decided to give the mountain their best shot, despite a doubtful forecast. We packed up, roped up and headed out towards the summit.

A return trip has been planned for early summer, 2015.
