A change in the dining out culture in Gibraltar in recent years has left people with little appetite for weekday lunches.
Once a thriving business, local restaurant Cafe Rojo is closing its doors this week after serving customers in Irish Town for the past 17 years.
In an emotional interview with GBC, owner Annette Heywood said the past few years have been difficult for local businesses with Brexit, the pandemic and rising rents added to the mix, but cited the change in public sector working hours as a key factor in the loss of lunch trade.
