Speakers:
Frida Berry Eklund is a Swedish EU Climate Pact Ambassador, climate communications specialist, author, and public speaker with over 20 years of experience in climate advocacy. She is the co-founder of the citizen climate data platform Klimatkollen and the global parent-led movement Our Kids’ Climate. Her book Talk to Children About Climate (Natur & Kultur, 2020) has helped shape the conversation on how to support children in the climate crisis. Frida’s work focuses on impactful climate communication, AI for climate, and mobilising citizens for systemic change.
Prof. Dr. Rens van de Schoot is full professor of Collaborative Methods in AI and Data Science at Utrecht University. He is the director of the AI-LAB on AI-aided Knowledge Discovery and coordinator of the open-source ASReview project (AI-aided systematic text reviewing), which is used by hundreds of thousands of users worldwide. He is also the founder of the official university spin-off, the Forward Faster AI group, which supports partners in implementing AI techniques and is active in over 50 European consortia.
Robin de Vries has a background in aerospace engineering, geoscience and remote sensing. At the Ocean Cleanup, he helps build and design AI applications to get a data-driven view of the global scale of plastic pollution. Robin currently leads the Automated Debris Imaging System (ADIS), a network of ship-based intelligent cameras that map floating plastics worldwide.
