How to install an auxiliary fuel line in your Sprinter | DIY campervan diesel heater install

Описание: Here's how to connect your diesel heater to your Sprinter van's fuel tank by installing an auxiliary fuel line. Some Mercedes Sprinters from 2007 onwards have an auxiliary fuel tap which make installing your heater much simpler. But it is an additional feature that some buyers chose not to go with. If you're unlucky like us (our 2011 didn't have one) you'll need to DIY your own. This video shows your how to drop your fuel tank and install your own auxiliary fuel line.

Before you get started, we'd recommend getting your diesel tank as empty as possible. We ran ours until the fuel light was on.

This is doable by yourself but is much easier if you have two people working on it.

Fuel line (some will come with your heater but you may need more or different sizes)
Clamps
Screwdriver
Jack (or boxes like we used)
Tape measure
