Smooth Look-a-Like - Michael Jackson vs Sonic The Movie (OVA) [MJ & Sonic Tribute 2016]

Описание: It's been just over 7 years since the passing of Michael Jackson on 25th June 2009. Coincidentally, it's just a few days after the birthday of Sonic The Hedgehog on 23rd June. As a tradition, I like to commemorate this time to honour & tribute MJ & Sonic with a mashup together. It may not be as grand as my 2015 tribute, but I put a lot of heart into the video - Hope you guys enjoy it!

This mashup was supposed to be released around the 7th Anniversary of MJ's death , but unfortunately I was busy & away for a while. Also, sorry for the pixelated look of some of the Sonic OVA clips - My DVD ripper isn't all it's cracked up to be sometimes.

I've been meaning to make a mashup with a track from the Sonic OVA for some time now. It's a shame that an official soundtrack wasn't released even to this day, but thank god for people like Mr Kingalocius who went out & reconstructed the soundtrack whilst being incredibly faithful to the source:
  / sonic-ova-ost-reconstruction  

With the song "Look-a-Like" getting an instrumental reconstruction, I decided to take the opportunity mash it up with the amazing "Smooth Criminal", a song that I really need to feature in more mashups!

The video itself was actually inspired by an old Newgrounds animation I used to watch back when I was still in high school called "Sonic's Look Alikes" by Vixin-McCloud:

Similar to Vixin's I thought it would fit the theme of the mashup if I featured other Sonic look alikes throughout the series (the 2:52 & 3:22 mark especially shows my inspiration with the segment solely for Shadow).
