Our largest rocket flown (in volume and a weight of149 pounds) powered by 'sugar'. Launch and recovery were perfect, the flight was to test the airframe, avionics, and recovery systems. Recovery was with a 28' surplus military parachute. The propellant was KNSB. While built for a small 10" (250mm) 'R'-impulse motor, for this test an adapter was used for a small previously tested 4" (100mm) 'M'-impulse KNSB motor with 6,900 Nsec at a cost of only $12 for the reload for this flight...a very inexpensive way to do lots of avionics and recovery testing.
