½ cup chana dal
2 whole coconuts
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons ghee
A pinch of cardamom powder
A pinch of salt
Method:
Soak and cook chana dal till soft.
Grind with fresh coconut — thick, no water.
Cook the mixture with sugar, stirring slowly.
Add ghee, cardamom, and a pinch of salt.
Stir patiently till it thickens
and leaves the pan.
Spread onto a greased plate.
Let it cool slightly.
Cut the desired shape
