India Allowed Iranian Warship on Humanitarian Grounds | Jaishankar Clarifies

Описание: India has allowed an Iranian warship to dock on humanitarian grounds, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar clarified during the Raisina Dialogue 2026 in New Delhi.

Jaishankar stated that despite certain legal considerations, India permitted emergency docking from a humanitarian perspective. He also reiterated that India fully respects international laws and maritime regulations.

According to the minister, another Iran warship is currently stationed at Cochin Port, and accommodation has been arranged for the crew members.

The statement came during discussions at the Raisina Dialogue, where global leaders and policymakers addressed international security, diplomacy, and geopolitical developments.
