Stolen Hyundai Escapes Multiple Box In Attempts From VSP | Gets PITed Into A Wall

Описание: At approximately 2119 hours on
February 3, 2024, I was on routine patrol on Interstate 66, when I received notification of stolen vehicle
traveling on westbound Interstate 66 via the Automated License Plate Readers (ALPR) system. The
vehicle was displaying a D.C. license plate of I ran the license plate in NCIC and the 2016 blue
Hyundai Elantra returned actively stolen out of Prince George's County, MD. At approximately 2128
hours, I located the vehicle on westbound Interstate 66 at Route 7. I notified VSP Communications that I
was behind the vehicle and waited for responding Troopers to assist in stopping the vehicle. I followed the
vehicle on westbound Interstate 66 where Trooper M. Middleton joined me. The vehicle exited for the
Vienna Metro where we went in a loop and Troopers A. King and J. Nguyen joined at Nutley Street. A
traffic stop was initiated, the vehicle failed to yield, and a pursuit ensued. Pursuit: Trooper M. R.
Middleton notified VSP Communications that we were in pursuit. The pursuit continued southbound on
Nutley Street where the vehicle went back westbound on Interstate 66. As the pursuit continued onto
westbound Interstate 66 from Nutley, myself and the other troopers attempted a vehicle containment
maneuver on the service road where the vehicle rammed Trooper King in an attempt to escape the vehicle
containment. The pursuit continued on Interstate 66 westbound and we tried to perform a second vehicle
containment maneuver on the vehicle. The Hyundai, again, rammed Trooper King. Traffic was moderate
to heavy with speeds reaching 100 mph and the driver had no regard for safety of others around them. The
pursuit continued to Route 123 southbound where a third attempted vehicle containment maneuver was
performed. The Hyundai then rammed Trooper King twice then nearly struck a civilian vehicle. The
pursuit exited from Route 123 on to eastbound Interstate 66. Trooper J. Corvin, who is Pursuit Intervention
Technique (PIT) certified, and took over as the lead vehicle in the pursuit. After passing the exit for Nutley
Street, Trooper Corvin performed a PIT maneuver on the vehicle, causing the Hyundai to enter the express
lanes, strike the jersey wall, and roll back into the main lane where a felony stop was conducted.
Investigation: The driver was identified as Gamble, Shastare Ladonja. GAMBLE
The
passenger was identified as Leonard, Tyrail, who returned clear and not licensed. A request was sent to
Prince George county for the stolen vehicle and a request was sent to Fairfax county to confirm GAMBLE
was wanted still, and they confirmed the vehicle to be actively stolen and GAMBLE wanted still. The
vehicle was completely totaled from front end damage hitting the jersey wall. The door handle was also
completely ripped off to get into the driver side door. Inside the car under the steering wheel, it was
completely ripped out and a USB cord was used to start the vehicle. GAMBLE's was checked out by fire and rescue due to blood coming from her nose and her saying she was four months pregnant. Fire and
rescue said she was all good and no further medical attention was needed. Arrest: GAMBLE's warrant was
confirmed to be active. GAMBLE's was transported to Fairfax Adult detention center without incident.
She was brought in front of Magistrate C. Burns where 4 warrants were obtained by myself and Trooper
King obtained 9 warrants (see below). GAMBLE's was held off our charged and the failure to appear out
of Fairfax. LEONARD was transported off the interstate by Trooper King without incident. . Gamble's
