PCB Drops Ali Zafar From PSL 9 Anthem Over Meesha Shafi Controversy. After working on it for two months, hiring musicians and music producers at my personal expense, I came up with three different versions of the anthem for the PCB to choose from. After one of them was finalised and the release was being planned, I was informed by the PCB that I cannot go ahead with the anthem for reasons that I would not like to disclose at this point. Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi have been embroiled in a legal battle since Meesha Shafi accused Ali Zafar of sexual harassment in 2018. Why Ali Zafar not singing PSL song or Why Ali Zafar not singing PSL anthem. PSL franchises objected to the decision of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to sign Ali Zafar for the PSL 9 anthem. It is said that Ali had prepared three songs, out of which one was selected. Ali Zafar's association with the anthem might have a huge impact on the league’s reputation but PCB considered it and has decided to withdraw its decision to involve Ali Zafar in the song.
