Controversial law AFSPA partial removal explained | IKN

Описание: The Centre has decided to remove the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, 1958, from several parts of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland. From April 1, 2022, the disturbed area notification has been completely removed from 23 of Assam’s 33 districts and partially from one district. Meanwhile, 15 police stations in Nagaland and Manipur have also been removed from the purview of the act.
