Taken 2/13/26 at Kingsbridge Road and Jerome Avenue, and at Fordham Road and 3rd Avenue.
Seen here is MTA New York City Transit 2024 Novabus LFSe+ Electric Smart Bus #5025 running on the Bx9 towards Fordham Plaza.
The MTA purchased these electric Novabuses in 2022 — they were built in 2024, and due to various issues, they only went into service last summer in 2025. This very small fleet of 5 buses has been running out of the Charleston Depot on Staten Island for the past few months, but 3 buses were transferred to the Kingsbridge Depot in the Bronx last month for service.
Since Novabus is no manufacturing buses for the U.S., this will be our only order of electric LFSe+ buses.
The back of this bus was recently damaged... a little disappointing to see, but hopefully it can be repaired soon.
