Cape Town, South Africa - 27 February 2027: Dr Allan Boesak, the veteran anti-apartheid activist has condemned plans by the City of Cape Town to build wall along a stretch of the N2 highway which borders mostly poor townships. Boesak compared the proposed wall to the border wall built by Israel to block the Palestinian territory of Gaza. He also accused Cape Town of being under Zionist control and being ashamed of poor communities.
Dr Boesak addressed thousands of people at a mass public Iftar in the streets of Bo Kaap. Iftar is the traditional meal served to break the fast of Muslims in the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
