One of the most influential and internationally recognized American film composers of all time, Danny Elfman, wrote his Piano Quartet in 2017. It was recorded on the same album as his Violin Concerto "Eleven Eleven", where he collaborated with violinist Sandy Cameron and conductor John Mauceri. It was co-commissioned by the Lied Center of Performing Arts University of Nebraska in Lincoln and The Philharmonic Piano Quartet Berlin.
