and Welcome to a Elephant Foot Yam Vada (सुरणाचे मेदुवडे) Special Episode of ‪@RedSoilStories‬
Elephant foot yam ( सुरण ) is a species of Yam that can be eaten as a vegetable or can be used in various dishes.
One fine day Pooja asked me bring a Elephant Foot Yam from the farm. I asked her what she will be preparing from it as I don't like Elephant Foot Yam, She did not tell me.
I went into the farm and dug a Yam and brought it home to Pooja. I went for some work again.!
Pooja started preparing for Elephant Foot Yam Vada ( सुरणाचे मेदुवडे ) ( Meduvada ) and Coconut Chutney ( खोबऱ्याची चटणी ). Elephant Foot Yam Vada ( सुरणाचे मेदुवडे ) ( Jimikand Vada ) is a unique recipe and a non traditional dish that can be an option who don,t like Elephant foot yam ( सुरण ). Elephant foot yam ( सुरण ) is a healthy and medicinal yam/vegetable that one need to include in their diet.
Elephant Foot Yam Vada ( Meduvada ) ( सुरणाचे मेदुवडे ) can also be given to children who don't like yam and avoid eating it.
Pooja prepared the Meduvada from the Yam ( Jimikand ) and Coconut Chutney and we both enjoyed it as breakfast that day.
