I made a last-minute decision to take a bit of a detour to the very northern tip of New Zealand and photograph the lighthouse at Cape Reinga. Weather wasn't exactly cooperating, and there was a lot of rain overnight and in the morning ruining my hopes for sunrise. But then the sky opened up and gifted me with such a spectacular, unexpected view! I couldn't be happier with the shot I walked away with.
