As policyholders, you have an obligation to mitigate damage to your property. And if you don’t have the money, you can opt for emergency mitigation contracts - Assignment of Benefits (AOB) or Direction to Pay. (DTP) However, signing a contract with a mitigation company can be stressful! Read them thoroughly and make sure you’re going to be off the hook for all those fees!
