This ongoing search and rediscovery of lost games, not known as currently listed on chessgames.com, requires many hours of brainstorming to transliterate Descriptive notation to the modern Algebraic format so these once forgotten games played by history's great chess experts can have a second life breathed in them by a new generation of chess enthusiasts. Of the many who participated in the annual tournament for the championship of the Intercollegiate Chess League at the Manhattan Chess Club, Harold Sussman, captain of the Brooklyn College team, which finished fourth, did his bit to bring the emblem to Brooklyn. Playing at the top board, he was one of the few who went through undefeated. Sussman's score was 3½—2½, was made up of five draws and one win. The scores of three of his games follow:
