Help the FeLV+ cats at CACC!

Due to unfortunate circumstances several cats from the same home were surrendered to Chicago Animal Care & Control. 8 of these cat have the Feline Leukemia virus (FeLV+). In most shelters this would be an automatic death sentence. Unfortunately we weren't able to find any local rescue groups that could take them and we were out of options. However; Austin Pets Alive, who is a wonderful organization in Texas, has a FeLV+ program and offered to help us. They can only take a few cats at a time and as we have 8 cats we are sending the cats on two separate trips. It's a long way to Texas and we are hoping to raise some donations for gas cards to give to our 2 wonderful volunteers who are driving the cats there. We would also like to provide a donation to Austin Pets Alive to help provide for the cat's care.
