📖 Scripture: Genesis 9:18–29

After the great flood, Noah’s family stood at the beginning of a new humanity.
They were a household that had been saved through obedience—
and yet, Scripture shows us with striking honesty
that the shadow of sin still remained.

In this passage, we see two very different responses to shame.
Ham chose exposure and mockery.
Shem and Japheth chose reverence and covering.

Through this story, Scripture asks us a searching question:
Whom are we following, and what direction are our lives taking?

🔑 Key reflections from today’s meditation:
• Every person follows something
• Spiritual vigilance does not sustain itself automatically
• Shame is easily exposed when watchfulness fades
• Covering is God’s way
• Mockery and exposure belong to another way
• Our words carry blessing or curse into history

God is the Judge,
but He is also patient and longsuffering.
He does not call us to be carriers of curse,
but to become channels of blessing.

As you meditate on Genesis 9:18–29,
may you choose to follow God,
the true source of life and blessing,
and walk daily in His presence.
