Shoulder circles are a great warm-up exercise to activate the shoulder joints before working out. This movement helps reduce shoulder pain & improve mobility for greater range of motion.
Physical therapist, Dr. Michael White, shows us how to perform this exercise to warm up your shoulder & reduce the risk of shoulder strain. Follow these steps to try this exercise at home:
Step 1:
In a seated position, place your fingertips on your shoulders.
Step 2:
Circle your shoulders forward for fifteen repetitions. Reverse the movement, and circle backward for fifteen repetitions.
