In an estuary on the Essex coast, the students of the MSc in Conservation have gained a hands-on understanding of the dilemmas in conserving a fragile ecosystem. Course tutor Dr Peter Jones of UCL Geography led them along the sea wall of the Blackwater Estuary, evaluating the decisions that conservation policy-makers face.
