Tip #1 Vision
If you are under 5' feet tall get a stool, better vision means better reaction time. The upper third of the playfield is where most of the action happens and you need to be able to track the ball. A stool will allow you to have a better angle on the playfield and allow for better action times and ultimately better scores.

Tip #2 Ball Saves and Kickbacks
While these differ for every table the card in the lower left of the playfield is your life line to better scores. Ball saves and kickbacks conditions are generally listed to allow new players to the table play longer with minimal knowledge of the Table.

Tip #3
Don't flip with two flippers at the same time, and in many cases not flipping is your best bet.
not flipping will take the energy out of the ball and allow you capture on one of your flippers allowing you to aim your next shot. Flipping both flippers at the same time is not a good thing as it actually creates a large gap under your flippers, stick to one at time and use dead flipping as an option to better scores.
