A metastatic cancer patient speaks! THINK BEFORE YOU PINK!

Описание: Pink ribbons are NOT cures! In preparation for October, breast cancer awareness month, starting in September of each year many of us breast cancer survivors change our profile photos/avatars to represent our experience with cancer treatment. But those of us who are metastatic have to RAISE OUR VOICES above all the noise that has become "breast cancer awareness month"- all the pink washing that goes on- from yogurt containers to football jerseys, to celebrity stories. If you have a heart for breast cancer survivors, consider the metastatic women and their families, who are dealing with a TERMINAL, lifetime disease. And if you want to donate to a major organization, consider those that are advocating for METASTATIC cancer -stage IV, as women who die from cancer only die from stage IV cancer. We need research, not stuff with pink ribbons on it!! And we need more orgs that assist with the financial burden of cancer, short and long term.
