Описание: Meet Mike Prelaske: NC State Ph.D. student, Wake County high school teacher and founder of Thirteen Forty-Seven Games, a nonprofit using game-based learning to transform the classroom. For the past decade, he’s brought immersive, story-driven simulations into his social studies classes at Middle Creek High School in Apex, N.C.

Prelaske believes learning happens best through play, even with complex topics. His digital role-playing games help students think critically while engaging with history, logistics and behavioral science — all in a format that feels more like Oregon Trail than a textbook.
