​In this final episode of our Palaitivu series, we cover the grand 2026 St. Anthony’s Shrine Festival, specifically the Ther (Chariot) Festival. This is the most significant day where thousands of devotees gather on the island for the final rituals and the pulling of the sacred chariot.
​As you watch the footage, you will notice many Naam Thamilar Katchi (NTK) flags being flown, particularly by the boat drivers who transported the pilgrims to the island. While Seeman (Leader of the NTK) was not personally present at the event, the presence of these flags among the massive crowd was a notable sight during this year's celebrations.
