As fighting between Hezbollah and Israel continues Lebanese Premier Rafiq Hariri met with French President Jacques Chirac in Paris.

The two leaders discussed the rising Mideast tension.

Officials in France have issued several warnings in the past three days calling on warring parties in Lebanon not to escalate the conflict.

The last minute preparations for the head of state arrivals.

It was a fly in visit from Egypt for Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri to meet French President Jacques Chirac.

The two men met ten days ago during President Chirac's trip to the Middle-East.

During the visit, President Chirac called for an independent Lebanon, saying that no foreign countries had no right to violate its territory.

Sunday's visit is a move to remind Chirac of those promises.

Hariri is seeking support from the international community as day four of the Israeli onslaught in south Lebanon continues.

So far, the French foreign ministry has sent a plane with humanitarian supplies to Lebanon to help civilians who've suffered under the recent spate of shelling.

Israel's Prime Minister, Shimon Peres has said they will stop the attacks if Hezbollah does the same.
