Описание: In 1979, Madelyn Ross came to China as one of the first American exchange students after China's reform and opening-up. Fresh out of Princeton University, she started her studies at Fudan University in Shanghai. Ever since, she has been at the forefront of China-US people-to-people exchanges and educational cooperation. She stressed that the barriers holding back bilateral educational exchanges need to be promptly removed. Only 1.000 to 2,000 American students studying in China are not enough for US-China relations.
