Описание: Next stop after some lunch, (and for me a luxury hot chocolate at Benedicts!) was St Mary and All Saints at Whalley. This church was once the centre of a large parish that contained much of East Lancashire including Burnley, Accrington, Colne and Clitheroe. The bells here are a 21 cwt ring of 8 tuned to Eb, cast by John Taylor & Co in 1924. Unfortunately, they do not sound so great in the ringing room, but they sound absolutely fabulous outside, just listen to them!!
