Converting a MAME arcade cabinet back to a dedicated arcade cabinet

Описание: Lets perform a MAME de-conversion! In this video I'll show how to convert a MAME emulation arcade machine with an LCD display back into a dedicated arcade cabinet with a real game PCB and a CRT display.

The more I get into this hobby, the more interesting authentic hardware is to me. Lately I've been removing emulation from my cabinets and replacing with O.G. game hardware. There are lots of videos on how to convert an arcade cabinet into a MAME cabinet, but I haven't seen many videos on going in the opposite direction. So I thought this would be a great opportunity for a video.

I'll be performing this de-conversion on a Midway Galaxian cabinet. The video includes some history on the cabinet so you can see how the MAME setup looked before the de-conversion begins.

NOTE: If you are specifically wanting to put a Galaxian PCB in a JAMMA cabinet, you'll likely need to perform a modification on the board to allow it to run on DC. Check the instructions provided with your adapter or this post on my blog:
