■Description
Shiga Kogen Ski Resort is one of the largest ski resorts in Japan, and the name represents for a group of multiple ski resorts that can be enjoyed by everyone from beginners to advanced skiers.
This ski resort in the northeastern part of Nagano Prefecture is famous for its superb powder snow, which is low in moisture and impurities due to its high altitude. Among them, Yakebiyama Ski Resort was used as a competition venue for alpine skiing slalom and snowboarding giant slalom events at the 1998 Winter Olympics. Yakebiyama Ski Resort has two gondola lifts that take you to the top of the mountain from the bottom, offering a spectacular view. Enjoy one of the best powder snows in Japan and the best scenery in 360 video!

スキー場（じょう）：ski resort.
ゲレンデ：Gelände (German). It refers to a place where people engage in sports such as skiing, and in Japan, it is used interchangeably with ski resort.
スノーボード：snowboard, snowboarding.
スノボー：A shortened word for スノーボード.
リフト：chairlift, ski lift. In many cases, you ride with the board attached. Be careful when getting off.
ゴンドラ：gondola lift. It takes the passengers for longer distance while covering them from snow and wind.
