UPND LEADS KASAMA MAYORAL RACE AS ECZ AWAITS FINAL RESULTS.

Members of the United Party for National Development (UPND) have begun celebrations after the party took the lead in the Kasama Mayoral by-election.
The Electoral Commission of Zambia has completed the announcement of results for Kasama Central Constituency, where the UPND candidate polled 8,070 votes, beating the Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) candidate who garnered 7,429 votes from 109 polling stations.
The Commission is now awaiting the announcement of results from Lukasha Constituency before officially declaring the winner of the by-election.
