20250217 Morning Running in Singapore

Описание: My runs in Singapore kicked off on the 16th, when I ran from Joo Chiat Road all the way to Marina Bay Sands. The next morning, I was back at it, running from Joo Chiat Road to Bartley MRT Station.

For my second run, I explored Paya Lebar Road, a major stretch running south to north in Singapore's southeastern quadrant. Right at the start, I passed through PQL Mall, which instantly brought back memories of the bustling malls connected to JR stations in Japan – a really similar vibe! I also noted the Lifelong Learning Institute [https://www.lli.sg/] along the way.

The apartment blocks I ran past were another point of interest, looking uncannily like the residential complexes you'd find in big Korean cities. Seeking a change of scenery from Paya Lebar Road, I veered off onto Little Road, spotting factories and schools, but a fear of getting lost quickly sent me back to Upper Paya Lebar Road. By about 9:00 AM, the traffic was thick, and I was literally running at the same pace as the cars!

Finally reaching Bartley Station, I hopped on the MRT for a convenient ride back to my hotel on Joo Chiat Road. That run covered a total of 5.5 km, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well-connected the sidewalks were throughout, never once discouraging me from continuing.
