With So Fine! #50 Polyester thread on top and Polyarn textured polyester serger thread in the bobbin, we are able to sew on knit fabrics such as sweat pants, yoga pants, polo shirts, etc. and retain the needed stretch without the worry of fraying.
No need for a serger to make a overlocking coverstitch when you are repurposing clothes such as those listed above.
We use a stretch, twin needle and the free arm of our sewing machine to take these sweatpants and make them into good looking shorts for the summer weather.
