A quick and comforting Chinese-style Shrimp (Prawn) Fried Rice made with juicy prawns, crisp veggies, and fluffy rice, all stir-fried to perfection in just minutes. Packed with flavor and wok aroma, this homestyle dish is better than takeout and perfect for busy weeknights.
Serves: 2–3
Ingredients:
• 15–16 shrimp/prawns, cleaned and deveined
Marinade:
• ¼ tsp salt
• 1/8 tsp white pepper
• 1 tsp rice wine
• 1½ tsp cornstarch
• 1 tsp cooking oil
Vegetables & Aromatics:
• 3 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 large green onion, white and green parts separated and chopped
• 1 red chili, minced
• 1 medium carrot, diced into small cubes
• ¼ cup frozen peas
Sauce:
• 1 tbsp oyster sauce
• 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
• 1 tbsp light soy sauce
• ¼ tsp white pepper
Other:
• 2 eggs, lightly beaten with a pinch of salt
• 2 cups day-old rice (I used fresh)
