Today I decided to do something no sane home distiller should do… I split a finished sugar wash in half and sent both siblings to war.
🥃 Batch 1: Normal distillation.
🧪 Batch 2: FULL reflux for 60 minutes before distilling.
🔥 Result: One behaved. The other… EVOLVED.
Somehow, the “over-refluxed” batch kept MORE of the wash flavor and came out tasting shockingly good — almost like my still unlocked a secret cheat code.
