I recommend to use headphones to get the best experience of Siemens EMU motor sounds.
I was travelling on a Pune - Lonavala local train (Siemens EMU) and decided to record some scenes from the window seat. This clip has the short 5 minute run between Akurdi and Dehu Road stations. My train honks and accelerates quickly from Akurdi and soon reaches a speed of around 90 km/hr. You can really enjoy the high pitched sounds of the motors. We then have to slow down a bit for a speed restriction. We cross a Lonavala - Pune local in the opposite direction. Finally we complete the speed restriction and the motorman accelerates a bit for a few seconds before having to brake once again. Even the braking sounds in these Siemens EMUs are cool. Enjoy the quick braking and coming to a stop by the experienced motorman.
