I begin the phrase on F# on the low 6th string (2nd fret) and travel all the way up the neck, finishing on the same note an octave higher at F# on the 2nd string, 19th fret. This creates a beautiful tension-to-resolution effect that highlights the personality of the Gmaj7 chord in a fresh, modern way.
