Kyeong-eun, at least 68 people were killed on Sunday in Nepal's deadliest plane crash in thirty years.
72 people were aboard this 27-minute flight that was heading from the capital, Kathmandu, to Nepal's tourist hub Pokhara.
Nepal’s civil aviation authority says that among the dead, at least one was an infant.
53 passengers and all four crew members were Nepali, while 15 passengers were foreign nationals, including five Indians, four Russians, and two South Koreans.
One witness near the scene recalled the time of the accident as a "thunderous crash."
The plane crashed down into a river gorge, making the search and rescue mission even more challenging.
Hundreds of responders scoured the region but had to call off the search after dark, with four people still unaccounted for.
A Nepal Army spokesperson said Monday that they weren't able to rescue anyone alive.
The search is said to resume on Monday.
Investigations are ongoing over the reasons for the accident.
It is yet unclear what might have caused this ATR 72 plane operated by Nepal’s Yeti Airlines to crash.
According to data from flight tracking website, flightradar24.com, the aircraft was 15 years old and “equipped with an old transponder with unreliable data."
As there were two South Korean nationals on board, South Korea's foreign ministry has set up a protection task force for overseas Koreans.
The 2nd vice foreign minister held a meeting this morning in South Korea, connecting live with other ministries to gauge the current situation and discuss ways to help.
The government has currently dispatched local embassy officials to extend their help to the victims' families, while aiding Nepali authorities with the ongoing investigation.
